People often ask why I'm so passionate about preserving everyday moments.
The answer isn't my camera.
It's my mom.
Five months after my first child was born, I lost her.
She never got to watch my babies grow up. She never saw first birthdays, first days of school, graduations, or all the ordinary moments that quietly become the ones we miss the most.
That experience changed the way I see photographs forever.
Today, when I photograph a family laughing together, a senior standing on the edge of what's next, or a mother holding her newborn, I know I'm preserving something that can never be recreated.
Because life doesn't tell us which moments will become our most treasured memories.
